Starship Troopers 25th Anniversary 4K Blu-ray SteelBook Edition Announced

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment to Release Limited-Edition Set

Celebrate the 25th anniversary of the classic sci-fi film Starship Troopers with a special edition 4K Blu-ray SteelBook from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

The new set will include a 4K Blu-ray disc with the film's original theatrical cut and a new 4K HDR remaster of the extended director's cut, both in Dolby Atmos audio. It will also include a Blu-ray disc with the theatrical cut and bonus features, as well as a digital copy of the film.

The SteelBook packaging will feature new artwork by acclaimed artist Mondo, and the set will also include a collectible booklet with essays and behind-the-scenes photos.

Starship Troopers was released in 1997 and quickly became a cult classic. The film is set in a futuristic world where Earth is at war with an alien race known as the Arachnids. The film follows a group of young soldiers who are sent to fight the Arachnids on the planet Klendathu.

The film was directed by Paul Verhoeven and stars Casper Van Dien, Dina Meyer, Denise Richards, Jake Busey, and Neil Patrick Harris. Starship Troopers was a critical and commercial success, grossing over $120 million worldwide.

The 25th anniversary 4K Blu-ray SteelBook Edition of Starship Troopers will be released on September 26, 2023. Pre-orders are now available.
